· Specified bandwidth performance to 870 MHz
· Uses FastPac series of plug-in EQ’s and Pads
· 5 to 40 MHz return bandwidth
· Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Plug-in hybrid technology
The NEW 2-Pac Enhanced line extender module from Broadband International is designed to drop into line extender housings. The forward bandwidth of our module is 870 MHz. It may be optimized for any bandwidth from 650 to 870 MHz by alignment of the interstage response network and by the type of cable equalizers used. Performance may be optimized by the choice of GaAs hybrids.
The use of Motorola
plug-in Gallium Arsenide hybrids makes this line extender easier to
service than the OEM models now offered using surface-mounted amplifiers.
The internal losses of our design have been minimized to provide the lowest
possible RF distortions. The interstage EQ and Pad set the output gain and slope
for maximum performance.
Dual RF test points are provided at both input and output ports. The forward
output RF test port may also be used as a reverse sweep input port with suitable
RF sweep test equipment. All the test ports are directional couplers with a
resistive pad to provide an accurate -20 dB reference level and to self-terminate
the test port when it is not connected to system test equipment.
The NEW FastPac plug-in equalizers are a Broadband International patented space-saving design with no tuning coils. The attenuators and equalizers both have three ground pins to optimize impedance matching for improved RF response linearity. “Normal” attenuators use a single ground pin. The FastPac attenuators and EQ’s are color-coded for easy recognition, yellow for attenuators and blue for equalizers.
