Philips Magnavox LE Amplifier

The Broadband International Magnavox line extender kit replaces the existing 450/550 MHz circuit board in the 6-MLE chassis with a 750 MHz amplifier board. The traditional mounting of the forward hybrids is maintained using new 750 MHz devices. The reverse hybrid has plug-in sockets and may be easily changed in the field if needed. The forward gain is 31 dB with a power-doubled output hybrid for optimum distortion performance. Traditional Philips/Magnavox style pads and equalizers are used in the forward and reverse path. A reverse path plug-in response network exclusively available from Broadband International is optional. This reverse path response feature is not part of the original Philips/Magnavox design. The forward gain control range is 8 dB, while the slope control has 6 dB of range. The impedance match is 16 dB minimum at the input and output ports. Input and output test points are built on the main board and are -30 dB resistive, bi-directional. A special test probe is not required for testing.
